SFTP connection

SFTP access

Access is available in the CREDENTIALS tab. Each environment has its own access with a Host, Connection Port and Username. By default and for security reasons, the connection is not done by password but by SSH key.

The first thing you will need is an SFTP client. There are many free and paid ones, we recommend using Filezilla.

Filezilla can offer you to convert the format of your key:

Quick Connection

An icon allows you to copy the identifiers (Host, Connection Port and Username):

You can then paste them into your SFTP client.

SFTP password connection

By default and for security reasons, the connection is not done by password but by SSH key. However, upon request to PrestaShop Hosting support, it is possible to create SFTP access by password. This with the aim of sharing this access with a service provider (developer of a PrestaShop module, service provider, etc.).
